Pumpkinville 2016 Closes Out Successfully!

As Pumpkinville 2016 closes out another successful pumpkin patch season, many thanks go out to the over 4,000 guests who joined us here at Tucker Hill!  The entire event is made possible due to the over 100 volunteers from McKinney Christian Academy who unload all the pumpkins one-by-one, provide the volunteers to sell the pumpkins daily for 15 days, man a weekend concession stand, and run our weekend hayride.  In exchange for all of this, Southern Land Company (Tucker Hill’s developer) allows this non-profit school to keep all the proceeds from sales.  We couldn’t ask for a better partner and appreciate their reliable and faithful staff, parents and students!

Besides MCA, Pumpkinville provides a fundraising opportunity to Baker Elementary School who also participate in this event by running the “Baker Bake Sale” to benefit their PTO.  Their efforts are also greatly appreciated as they add another significant value to this event!

Southern Land Company is pleased to have hosted the fifth year for this event, which draws many people into Tucker Hill and provides a taste of what it might be like to live here.  Every effort is made to ensure that this event is also enjoyed by residents (via their private “Preview the Patch Party).  In addition, even after closing, Pumpkinville continues to benefit other local non-profits like the Fort Worth Zoo and Plano’s Outdoor Learning Center with pumpkin and hay donations.

So here’s to another great year!
